2007 Quick Review [01 Jan 2008|05:53pm]
[ mood | content ]

Last year, I accomplished the following:

- I started to take private guitar classes
- I moved to a new place in April
- I got a double jaw surgery
- I took part in the Christmas show at my job in which I sang for the first in front of people: over 500 and more!

2008 sound promising: I'm going to get rid of my braces in 2 weeks, go back to gym, take my first trip to Cuba, Mexico or Panama, fly on a plane for the first time, write to the sound tech I met at my show to let him know I want to see him again, practice with my band for the April show, etc etc...

Happy New Year people! Luv ya all! xxx

Wow! I did it and it felt so right! [17 Dec 2007|11:06am]
[ mood | happy ]

What a great experience it was to sing on a stage! I was full of good energy and it felt really great! I can't wait to see the video! Our show was a great success. SO much that we had an offer to play in April for an Occupational Therapist Congress near Montreal. :D I can't wait already! The second part of my night was a bit hard though. I was the DJ and my system wasn't very practical. I was in a rush all night and I was so exhausted and people were annoyingly asking for some freakin' Madonna even though I played some twice! GRRRR Anyway, you can't please everyone. Here are some pics of my band and I during the practices and the night of the show:

Aren't we looking happy? And we miss each other already! Aww... <3

From [info]tentetsu: The courage to truly live... [29 Nov 2007|11:11am]
[ mood | hopeful ]

We have been told all our lives
That our dreams of adventure and
Happiness and profound fulfillment
Are childish foolishness.

We are told to grow up and to
Be realistic about this reality.
We are told about money and work,
We are told what to fear and think.

Our passion is suppressed into
Responsibility and our intelligence
Squandered with the memorization of
Random collections of bigotries.

Until our lives turn into the same
Dull gray of repeated anxieties
That never fully resolve nor even
Actually manifest outside of concept.

Enough.
Truly enough.

Enough worry about the self-imposed
Limitations we placed upon ourselves
Out of polite deference to our deeply
Miserable parents and deluded peers.

No one really knows anything at all.
There are no means to accomplish anything.
Only the will to act and the courage
To accept the consequences of our actions.

Life is dangerous.
Life IS dangerous.
If it is safe,
You are doing something
Dreadfully wrong.
Life is dangerous,
So, Live Dangerously!
Live dangerously
Because life is dangerous.
You are going to die,
Going to feel pain,
Going to fail and fail again.
You are going to fall down
And go BOOM! So what!
Just remember that success is
Falling down seven times and
Getting up eight...

Life is dangerous,
So, Live Dangerously.
Otherwise, one day you will
Look around and find that
Life has passed you by.
Your life is gone.
Your life energy has
Been wasted making other people
Money, being responsible.
And for what?
You are going to die.
You are going to feel pain.
All of this will happen
Whether you are responsible
Or not...

Be happy! Be vital!
Dare to risk it all
Because that is all you have.
Risk it all and live!
To risk all is to be really alive,
Is to be total and present.
Risk it all and you will find
That there is truly nothing to loose.
Life is dangerous and you are
Going to loose someday.
Someday everything you know and love
Will slip from your grasp.
This is guaranteed.

The question truly is,
When this inevitably happens to you,
Will you be able to say, as you die,
That you ever really lived at all?
Have you ever really lived at all?
Have you ever REALLY lived at all?

Have courage.
Forget what you think you know.
Live dangerously and
Accept your choices in full.

Love and Light,
Health and Wealth.
The life unlived is the
Greatest tragedy of all.

It's finally coming to an end [15 Nov 2007|12:16pm]
[ mood | bouncy ]

On January 7th--my birthday!--, my orthodontist will check out the results about my teeth... and if they haven't moved too much I'M GETTIN RID OF ALL THE STEEL HARDWARE THE WEEK AFTER, ON JANUARY 15TH!!!! HURRAY! I'm wearing a palate retainer for one year--which isn't bothering me too much kymus. I have tiny wires glued on the inner side of my front upper and lower teeth that should ideally be worn for the rest of my life. It makes the flossing a bit longer, but it's worth it. Yay! No more rubber bands!
